Intermittent fasting is a game changer!
Hi folks, I had an issue with excessive iron in my blood. (Reading was 1070) I was tested for hemochromatosis which was inconclusive. In addition to this, I had severe inflammation in my joints (especially the knees) getting in and out of the car was even becoming difficult. I also had very severe plantar fasciitis in the right foot, it was pretty debilitating. I also had very high blood pressure (controlled by medication) I knew I had to lose weight, but in the past, the only way I was able to, was using diet shakes, but found this was simply not sustainable, as I always put the weight back on. I saw Doctor Berg videos on YouTube, and decided to give it a go. I think it saved my life. I started intermittent fasting, and cut all carbs. The results were nothing short of miraculous. Within two weeks I had lost 6kg, the inflammation was gone, I suddenly had energy again, and the plantar fasciitis (which was really bad) was vastly improved. In two months I was down 10kg. I have now lost a total of 13kg, and the plantar fasciitis is now only very mild, occurring only if I have been on my feet all day, it does not affect my mobility the way it had previously, and I am sure it will completely resolve in time. I have nothing to gain from writing this review, I have not even bought any of Eric’s Bergs products, but I have watched lots of his videos, and followed his advice, even regarding which vitamins etc to take. This approach works without question, I am living proof of that, it has been a game changer. I should also mention another big bonus is that I have also had to reduce my blood pressure medication from 40mg down to 20mg. I thought I would struggle giving up all the things I loved, I.e excessive sugar, rice etc, but once you start eating correctly your body stabilises and starts to function the way it is supposed to, you will find that you will not want those things. I recently had another set of blood tests done, and was thrilled with the results, My iron is still high but down to 600 odd from 1070, and I am sure it will continue down to normal. All my other stats were excellent compared to what they were before. My GP was shocked when I went to see him to get the blood tests done (in a good way) also impressed with the blood test result improvements. I cannot recommend highly enough watching as many of Dr Eric Bergs videos on you tube - it changed and saved my life. He explains things so well, and has covered so many relevant areas. I was surprised to see that he had even done one on Plantar Faccitis!
